Used in situations where the roof is designed to be a ‘brown’ or ‘self populating’ roof and where diverse habitats may be required. The B1 mix contains brick and lightweight aircrete together with a blend of topsoil and sometimes organic compost if required

Often used in situations such as Wildflower Turf roofs where a slightly higher organic content may be preferred.
